I have been flying since 1971 and I enjoy reading the material from your magazine. I usually do not chime in with a response to an article, but this time I have to make an exception.

At approximately 1330 Central time, the airplane sustained substantial damage when it impacted terrain while maneuvering during an air show performance. The commercial pilot sustained fatal injuries. Visual conditions prevailed.

The airplane was substantially damaged when it impacted trees at about 1100 Eastern time during a landing attempt. The flight instructor was fatally injured; the student pilot and passenger were seriously injured. Visual conditions prevailed.

At about 1320 Eastern time, the airplane was substantially damaged during a forced landing after a total loss of engine power during initial climb. The private pilot and a passenger sustained minor injuries. Visual conditions prevailed.

The float-equipped airplane sustained substantial damage at about 1415 Alaska time when it impacted the water during takeoff. Visual conditions prevailed; the solo pilot received serious injuries.

At 1245 Eastern time, the airplane collided with terrain while landing. The airline transport pilot sustained serious injuries; the airplane was substantially damaged by a post-impact fire. Visual conditions prevailed for the public-use flight.

The airplane sustained substantial damage at 0949 Central time when it collided with trees shortly after takeoff. The airline transport pilot and the passenger were seriously injured. Visual conditions prevailed.

At about 1500 Pacific time, the airplane nosed over during a forced landing. The student pilot received serious injuries; the airplane sustained substantial damage to its tail section. Visual conditions prevailed.

The airplane was substantially damaged at approximately 1245 Central time when it impacted terrain during a go-around. The airline transport pilot was fatally injured. Visual conditions prevailed for the test flight.

At about 1135 Eastern time, the airplane was substantially damaged following a loss of directional control after touchdown. The private pilot sustained minor injuries; the pilot-rated passenger had serious injuries. Visual conditions prevailed.
