Northwestern Michigan College hosts an FAA-approved Part 141 pilot school to provide ground and pilot training. Flight training takes place at Cherry Capital Airport (KTVC), only five minutes from the main campus.

Value

Northwestern Michigan College’s base tuition is relatively affordable. In-state tuition will run approximately $5,000 a year, while out-of-state tuition will be about $9,000 a year. This is base tuition and does not include flight expenses.

Flight students should expect to pay about $120,000 to finish the professional pilot program. This will get a student up to a multiengine rating and certified flight instructor certificate.

The college offers institution scholarships and also accepts outside aviation scholarships and veteran’s benefits, such as the GI Bill.
