To underscore its commitment to the inflight video segment, Sporty’s has launched a service, called MySolo, that takes your video and turns it into a finished, edited video with titles for $59.95. John Zimmerman, Sporty’s digital guru, told Flying that for that price all the customer has to do is upload the digital footage, specify titles and other preferences and then click the send button. Sporty’s video editors will turn that raw footage into a ready-for-primetime product in about two business days.
While the MySolo name seems to indicate the service is for first flights, Zimmerman told Flying that the service is open to any kind of aviation video and it likely will expand and evolve into a wider service soon.
