The National Aviation Hall of Fame has selected four notable figures for its 2015 class, with formal enshrinement scheduled for next October.
The inductees are Robert N. Hartzell, Abe Silverstein, Eugene "Gene" Kranz, and U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Robert L. Cardenas (retired).
Their diverse achievements include pioneering propeller manufacturing, architecting the American space program, serving as an Apollo flight director, and distinguished careers as a World War II commander and test pilot.
