A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 was reportedly struck by gunfire on Friday evening, an airline spokesperson said. The aircraft was hit while taxiing for departure at Dallas Love Field (KDAL).
Flight 2494 to Indianapolis suffered damage consistent with a gunshot to the right side of the aircraft below the flight deck. The 737 Max 8 jet—registered as N8744B—returned to the gate.
