With rain hopefully in the past, Sun ‘n Fun opened for business today to light crowds and much optimism. So with the kickoff today of the annual week-long Central Florida aviation fest, pilots everywhere are hoping that springtime brings both growth and green to the aviation industry. There are good signs aplenty, including recent reports that analysts are bullish on the future of bellweather manufacturer Cessna Aircraft and recent orders. Cessna today announced its Corvalis TTx with Garmin G2000 integrated avionics. And much to the delight of its dealers everywhere, Garmin launched a new generation of touch screen panel-mount navigators, which are sure to stimulate the aftermarket economy. Hawker Beechcraft brought the largest fleet of its aircraft, including two newly updated models, ever to appear on static display at any Sun ‘n Fun, and Avidyne, Aspen and Honeywell announced strategic partnerships aimed at combining their talents and increasing their market shares.
