A California partnership (Advance Tactics and RotorX) has unveiled the ATRX-700, a two-seat, fly-by-wire helicopter designed for simplified operation.
Priced at $188,000, it aims for accessibility, requiring only a driver's license, medical, and 30 hours of training upon the finalization of new regulations.
The helicopter's feasibility relies on the upcoming Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC) rules, which expand Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) designation to include factory-built helicopters and eVTOLs.
