Kitplanes For Africa (KFA) is a long-established South African light aircraft manufacturer with over 30 years in business, now expanding its presence into North America.
KFA's Safari XL model stands out for its significantly larger interior, designed to comfortably accommodate taller and larger pilots, and features a spacious, easily accessible luggage area.
While currently available in the US as an Experimental Amateur Built kit, the Safari XL is expected to qualify under the upcoming MOSAIC regulations, and KFA offers various kit build options.
I first ran into Stefan Coetzee and KFA at Aero Friedrichshafen, my favorite light aircraft show in Europe. I was caught by the clever name. Easy to say, “KFA” sticks in your mind like a catchy tune.
