JSX, a small startup airline born in California that operates under Part 135, expanded its business deeper into Texas earlier this week, offering something a little bit different in hopes of making private charter accessible to more people.
The company flies out of major international airports with airline service, but offering passengers the convenience of FBOs. This means passengers can arrive just 20 minutes before takeoff since they wouldn’t have to weave their way through busy main terminals and long security lines.
“JSX removes the barrier to entry for everyday luxury semi-private travel experiences … offering the general public many of the perks of flying private, readily accessible, and attainable for today,” JSX CEO Alex Wilcox said Tuesday.
One-way fares start at $129. Unlike similar services, JSX doesn’t require a membership to book a flight.
What They Fly
JSX operates a fleet of 23 Embraer ERJ145 turbine equipment. Configured with 20 seats less than most airlines opt for, JSX offers more space in the cabin for each passenger.
Where They Fly
Last month, JSX announced its hop-on jet service would begin service to Austin from Dallas and double its service to Houston, up to four flights each day. The company debuted the new services earlier this week.
JSX now services 14 airports.
