FBO Spotlight: Robinson Aviation (KHVN)

Flying reader Peter B. Nichol explains why he's proud to call this East Coast FBO his home base.

In our FBO Spotlight series, we’re highlighting FBOs around the country that have received rave reviews. This latest Spotlight is brought to you by Peter B. Nichol, who frequently flies out of Tweed-New Haven Airport in a P28R-200. Here’s what he has to say about the airport’s FBO, Robinson Aviation.

Robinson Aviation (KHVN)
New Haven, Connecticut

“Excellent FBO and super flight school! It’s been just over a year now I’ve been flying with Robinson, regularly. The facilities are clean, well kept and more importantly, the team here is flexible. We all have very tight schedules, likely when we do have time we’ll need flexibility here or there. This FBO and flight school team has always been extremely flexible and helpful. Here are two quick examples of the quality service: During a recent flight, the A&P went out of his way to address my questions. He could have been too busy, I’m sure he had other things to do, but he took the time to explain it to me in detail. Second, during a recent night flight a member of line crew stayed past 8 p.m. to ensure I had full tanks for my flight. This is a quality shop from the management that runs it to the daily folks who smile when you walk in. As a student, renter and customer of the FBO, I’m proud to say this is my home base.”
