FBO Spotlight: Redbird Skyport (KHYI)

Flying reader Gregg McAnelly details his positive experience at this new Texas FBO.

In our FBO Spotlight series, we’re highlighting FBOs around the country that have received rave reviews. This latest Spotlight is brought to you by Gregg McAnelly, who recently flew into San Marcos Municipal Airport in a Cessna 182B. Here’s what he has to say about one of the airport’s FBOs, Redbird Skyport.

Redbird Skyport (KHYI)
San Marcos, Texas

“They were great! They met us on the ramp in their golf cart and insisted on unloading our bags, then loaded them in our rental car (that they had running with the AC on to cool it down). They have a cafe, gift shop and conference room, pilots lounge, showers, flight planning room with multiple computers. …They seemed to be competing with each other for who could treat us the best. They made suggestions about the area and looked up and printed up directions for us. Unbelievable!”
