Flying Senior Editor Stephen Pope recently headed to Miami to complete his commercial-multi through a fast track course at Pan Am International Flight Academy.

Pan Am International Flight Academy’s headquarters in Miami still feature the iconic Pan Am logo and house an original, fully functional Boeing 707 simulator.
Flight Simulator
Tracing its lineage directly from the airline Juan Trippe ran for more than 40 years, the Pan Am of today specializes in airline training. The academy currently operates more than 65 simulators.
Pan Am International Flight Academy
The academy also provides classroom instruction at its bases throughout the world.
Student Airline Pilots
Many Pan Am students start their training at Wayman Aviation at Opa-locka Airport, flying Cessna 152s and 172s before progressing to twins and airliner sims.
Flight Training
Pan Am has carved a niche by offering airline training solutions at a lower cost, a strategy made possible in part by using sims it buys secondhand from airlines.
