Red Bull 2015 Air Race Schedule Released

Race plans eight stops around the globe.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the hair-raising Red Bull Air Race World Championship, you will once again have the opportunity in 2015. Red Bull released next year’s schedule, which includes eight stops around the world where some of the best pilots will battle it out flying aerobatic race courses at maximum speeds through inflated pylons.

Next year’s competition begins in the Middle East, with the first event in Abu Dhabi on February 13 and 14. The air racers will then move on to Japan, the first Red Bull Air Race ever to be held in that country, where they will compete on May 16 and 17 in Chiba.

After the stop in Asia, the series will move on to Russia with a race in Sochi on May 30 and 31 followed by a return visit to Budapest, Hungary, on July 4 and 5. On August 15 and 16, the race will continue in Ascot, Great Britain, the home country of last year’s winner, Nigel Lamb, and on September 5 and 6 the racers will return to Spielberg, Austria, the country where the revolutionary energy drink was launched in the mid-1980s.

Once the European tour is complete, the competition will move across the Atlantic for two stops in the United States, the first in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 26 and 27. The season finale will be held on October 17 and 18 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway 15 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
