NBAA and AsBAA Announce ABACE 2012

With the recent change in China's air space rules for general aviation, the announcement by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) to reintroduce the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) is very timely.

First held in Shanghai in 2004, the early ABACE shows, said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen, "yielded results by increasing awareness about our industry. We are returning to Shanghai far ahead of where we started, but with still much to accomplish; nevertheless, it is now clear to everyone that there is tremendous potential for business aviation in Asia."

ABACE, which will be held annually beginning in 2012 at the Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai, China, will run from February 28 to March 1 in 2012. ABACE2012 will be held in the new Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Center with exhibits housed in a 4,000 square-meter hangar and a static display of aircraft on the ramp. The conference will include on-site education sessions led by industry veterans with knowledge of the region's business and regulatory environment.

A number of major aviation OEMs has expressed enthusiastic interest in attending ABACE2012, an obvious necessary ingredient for a successful show.
