Craig Fuller Named Chairman of Redbird Board

Past AOPA leader takes reins at sim maker.

The vacation for former AOPA president and CEO Craig Fuller was a short one. On Friday the Redbird Flight Simulations Board elected Fuller as chairman of the board. We had reported last month that Fuller had been named to the board in order to devote additional energy to Redbird’s expansion plans, including mergers and new programs, and to allow Redbird founder Jerry Gregoire to focus on innovation.

A few months ago Redbird announced a diesel engine retrofit program for legacy Cessna Skyhawks, turning the classic training birds into modern Jet-A powered trainers. The company, Gregoire told Flying, has a number of other as-yet-unrevealed programs in development.
