Jobs in Aviation Video Series: Embraer’s Michael Amalfitano

Business aviation's fastest growing aircraft manufacturer is on a hiring spree in the U.S.

Embraer made headlines at the NBAA Convention earlier this month by launching a pair of technologically advanced jets, the Praetor 500 and 600, as it continues to establish itself as a leading manufacturer of business airplanes.

The Brazilian company has hired 2,000 workers in the U.S., which has grown to be a major hub of activity as it adds airplanes to its product portfolio, from the entry-level Phenom jets all the way to the Lineage 1000 bizliner.

Embraer president and CEO Michael Amalfitano spoke with McDermott & Bull CEO Rod McDermott as part of our ongoing Jobs in Aviation video series about how Embraer is dealing with its own exponential growth at a time when skilled labor in aerospace has perhaps never been in stronger demand.
