Farnborough International Airshow Reopens After Severe Flooding

The world’s top airshow was evacuated Monday due to weather concerns.

The Farnborough Airshow was evacuated Monday after heavy rain led to flooding at the airshow site.

“Due to the heavy rain, unfortunately we have cancelled today’s flying display and closed the show early,” organizers announced via Twitter. “Safety remains our key priority.”

Attracting top airline and aviation executives, the show is the world’s top venue for aerospace deal-making and aircraft order announcements. Those who missed out Monday can reuse their tickets any day this week.

Organizers worked overnight to repair damage, and the show reopened Tuesday morning with a full schedule of events. For real-time updates, check out the show’s livestream.
