Shayla Silva joined Flying as web editor in January 2013. For as long as she can remember, she has had a passion for writing. Growing up in four separate states and moving almost every other year, writing was (and still is) the single constant in her life.
Shayla graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism-Editing and a minor in English Writing in May 2012. Before receiving her degree, she completed internships at Insight Magazine, Orlando Magazine and Flying‘s sister publication, Sport Diver Magazine. She both wrote and edited a variety of articles for all three publications.
Shayla lives in Orlando, FL. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, discovering a good book and riding her bike around her neighborhood.
