Sporty’s Unveils Free 2012 AOPA Summit App

All-in-one app is a must-have for event attendees.

As pilots and exhibitors prepare to descend on Palm Springs, California, for next week’s AOPA Summit, Sporty’s Pilot Shop has unveiled its free show app with loads of useful info for visitors headed to this year’s event.

Typical of event apps put out by Sporty’s, the 2012 AOPA Summit app is easy to navigate and well worth a download. In addition to a complete schedule and detailed list of events, the app features facility maps and exhibitor lists that make finding your way to your favorite booths a breeze.

For pilots flying to the event, the app’s Travel section details approach and departure procedures for both VFR and IFR pilots, along with charts, Notam info, radio frequency lists and parking info, among other features.

Sporty’s AOPA Summit app is compatible with Mac and Android operating systems, including the Kindle Fire. Download the app for free here.

The 2012 AOPA Summit is slated to take place October 11-13, and more than 10,000 people are expected to turn out for the event. In addition to an expansive exhibit hall, a Parade of Planes and an Airportfest, the Summit will also feature a host of educational experiences and entertainment events.
