Flight Guide iEFB Launches Video Tutorials

Short segments help subscribers make the most of the aviation app.

Aviation app provider Flight Guide has launched a series of video tutorials to help subscribers make the most out of the iEFB electronic flight bag app for the iPad. The videos, which are each about four minutes long, can be downloaded from the Flight Guide website or viewed directly on the iPad or a computer through YouTube.

The tutorial has no audio component other than background music. Short text paragraphs describe how the information is obtained or how to get the app to do what you need it to do.

Currently five video segments are available that cover how to download data and get airport information. An additional seven segments will be available soon, covering charts, flight planning and weather, which the company is getting ready to launch with its 5.0 version.

The Flight Guide iEFB pulls from the company’s 50-year history of providing airport and chart information. It is the electronic version of the compact brown airport manuals, which the company still provides to pilots who prefer paper. In addition to providing aviation data such as moving maps, Notams, Metars, TAFs and unique airport information, the app includes exclusive airspace diagrams created by Flight Guide.
