Tickets Now Available for EAA AirVenture 2022

Next year’s event is scheduled for July 25 to 31 back in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

If your summer plans include attending EAA AirVenture you’ll be happy to know the tickets for the 2022 event are now available for purchase.

AirVenture 2022 runs from July 25 to 31 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH).

The annual event, put on by EAA and its thousands of volunteers, attracts vendors and visitors from all over the world. It’s not so much an airshow as it is an immersive experience. From the moment you arrive at the showgrounds until the moment you leave, your world will revolve around aviation. If it can be flown, used in an aircraft or has an aviation-related image on it, you’ll likely find it at AirVenture.

How Much Does it Cost?

A weekly pass will set you back $127; a daily pass for an adult is $37. If you just want to be there on Sunday, July 31, be prepared to fork over $19. Thanks to a sponsorship by the Boeing Co., there is no admission charge for children under the age of 18.

There are also special packages for camping on show grounds—a few nights at Camp Scholler are a must at least once in a lifetime for the true aviation fan.

The wristbands provide participants access to all aircraft parking areas for the show, including:

  • Homebuilt and experimental aircraft
  • Vintage aircraft
  • Aerobatic designs
  • Military aircraft
  • Ultralights
  • Rotorcraft
  • Seaplanes

The event is the largest aviation trade show in the U S. featuring more than 1 million square feet of commercial displays and more than 800 exhibitors ranging from aircraft manufacturers to flight schools.

The EAA museum is open during the event, and for the younger crowd, there is KidVenture, an aviation-themed exhibit with age-appropriate activities.

In addition to aviation eye-candy galore, there are dozens of forums on everything from How to Build Your Own Aircraft to What You Need to Know About Getting Your Pilot Certificate.

In the afternoons and evenings there is entertainment ranging from air shows and concerts to aviation-themed movies. These take on a new level of enjoyment—you have not lived until you have seen Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo surrounded by 300 fellow aviators.

To facilitate smooth entry into the event EAA has brought back the Express Arrival program in 2022. Wristbands, parking and Camp Scholler passes can be mailed in advance if you purchase your credentials before June 15, 2022.

Express Arrival is exclusively available to U.S. members who have valid EAA memberships through at least July 31, 2022.
