Breitling Jet Team To Perform in North America

Aerobatic team to make U.S. debut at Sun 'n Fun.

If you love going to airshows to watch military jet teams such as the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds, next year will present opportunities to enjoy the performance of one of the best aerobatic formation teams in the world — the Breitling Jet Team. The team will make its North American debut on April 26 at the Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In and Expo, set to take place in Lakeland, Florida from April 21 through 26.

After the performance in Florida, the team will continue its North American tour, which is scheduled to include shows in 18 cities in 13 U.S. states and two Canadian territories with the final show at the Wings Over Houston Airshow on November 18.

Breitling claims its seven-member team is the largest of its kind and the first civilian professional jet team ever to have formed. Its pilots fly black and yellow Breitling-branded Aero Vodochody L-39 C Albatross airplanes, single-engine jets capable of flying as fast as 375 knots. The team will fly aerobatic maneuvers that will push the airplanes and pilots to their limits, pulling up to 8Gs and flying in formation within 10 feet of each other.

The Breitling Jet Team is based in Dijon, France and has performed in 36 countries around the world. Check out this video to see some of what you can expect from this spectacular jet team.
