Video: Extreme Helicopter Precision Installation

Watch as a helicopter pilot delivers pieces of a spire to a high-rise building.

Earlier this year, a massive spire was erected atop the Incity Tower in Lyon, France, one of the tallest buildings in the country at 650 feet. The spire, which measures 164 feet and weighs 25.9 tons, is made up of several massive tubes all connected together. What makes the project remarkable from a flying standpoint is that the last pieces of the spire were delivered by helicopter, with extreme precision displayed by the pilot.

This incredible video shows how the pieces were placed. There are views from inside the helicopter as the pilot maneuvers the heavily loaded helicopter, outside the spire as the pieces are being lined up and inside the tube as construction workers grab on to massive wires to bring the pieces in place.
