NTSB Tries, Fails to Address GA Safety

It is interesting to me that may GA airplane manufacturers -not the govenment agencys mandated to -are taking action-- developing systems that directly address Roberts insightful observation that the GA flight profile is fundamentally different than the airline profile.
So- we see automatic wing levelers, stick pushers to move the pilot away from steep bank angles, BRS chutes, highly evolved Synthetic vision displays and finally Enhanced Vision Systems to help light plane pilots stay comfortable, aware and safely in control. These developments are specific actions that required significant investments of time and money to accomplish, action taken ---while the NTSB and FAA continue to blather the same old "vague notions" of what is wrong--endlessly rehashing the problem, chewing the Oy Ve cud, while never taking action. Oh, wait--they do take action, over and over again, the NTSB points to the FAA suggesting the "do somethning" and the FAA reacts by ignoring the NTSB. The primary action the FAA takes is saying "no" running up the certificatio costs of new systems to astornomical levels, wasting cosmic proportions of time and generally wallowing in the slop of incompetance that forms in the absence of accountability.

Flying Photographs Evidence of Aurora?

Bingo, Robert. When the replacement is up and running and Aurora is essentially obsolete-we will know about it. At FL 2000--it would be more feasible to defend against it from orbit--perhaps that capability is what the military doesn't want to initiate by the competition.
