The aircraft should be owned by the company than all traven will be expensed. But most of all you must love to fly, then you will be enjoying your hobby and deducting most of it off your taxes.!
I had just ordered a Garmin 430 from my avionics shop when the CNX80 showed up on the back page of AOPA mag. After some research on both I ordered the CNX 80 for $2,700 more.
I have been waiting for about 3 years to see just what would shake out befor spending on a unit:
Some of the reasons I chose the CNX over the 430:
1. Faster processor
2. less twisting and turning of the knobs with the "smart keys" than the Garmin
3. Nearest key: airport, ATC freq
4. Able to input a vector airway instead of wasy way point
5. "Voice" alert in your headphones at waypoint, at 500 feet at the approach.
5. Most important is that this is new technology. it isnt a 4 year old box. If I am going to pay $14,000 to install this a GPS I want the latest.
The unit has taken all the bad points of the Garmin 430/530 series and made it better!
