NTSB Blames Roush Crash on Pilot Error
from 1907forge
wrote 44 weeks 5 days ago
Roush's first two crashes were due to mechanical failure. The angled departure of a slow cub in front of a fast jet; bad idea. Maybe a little more separation was called for in this situation. The chain of events that led to the accident could have been broken before it began.Jack Roush has owned and operated high performance aircraft for many years.Pilot error played a role, but certainly wasn't the only factor involved here. Lets not put ole Jack out to pasture just yet.

Prisons are full of people who would never recommit, didn't mean to do it,wish they could have another chance. How many chances would the pilot of that spray plane have had if the shooter had been successful in his attempt.
Light Sport Aircraft Market: Self-Inflicted Luxury

I'll tell you why they won't classify 152's in the LSA category. It will cut into the sale of new aircraft. This is a real shame. I know several people who would benefit from this and there is no way a 152 is not just as safe if not more safe than most LSA ,BRS not withstanding.
NTSB Links Crashes to Mythical Phenomenon

I can remember my instructor talking about relative wind;the only thing that matters after the airplane leaves the ground. He would always add a comment about wind gusts ,especially from the rear , and the deteriorating affect on airspeed.Maybe the assumption could be made that a sudden burst of air from the rear as part of a downwind track could bring on a stall , if everything else remains the same.
