Spitfires Buried in Burma To Be Excavated

This is the first that I have heard of these Spits... It sounds like they will see the light of day once more. that many Spitfires will be a great sight over england once again. I wish that some one had the where with all to go after the P-36's that were headed to Burma too. I don't recall the entire story but I remember a group of P-36's or Hawk 75's headed for the Far east that were left in a ware house; dumped in a bay, or something like that. I'll have to go back and research the Internet and see what happened. If anyone can fill in the blanks please chime in. Anyway can't wait to see the recovery. . .

I have been a homebuilder dreamer for as long as I can remember. To see the new power plants that have come along in the recent years gives me great ideas. I have to admit that I am more interested in the lower Horse Powers ranges. More LSA and E SLA. I wish that the article had given the Specs. . Anyway it's great news to see a diesel in the mix too.

I guess opinions are like noses; this unfortunate accident is just that, an accident. The lost of life is tragic and my heart goes out to the loved ones.
With all the Reg.s that have to be complied with aircraft are much safer than any other means of transportation. Driving a car in beyond it's performance envelope is hazardous too. Many more people do that every day just driving home from work.
A great pilot is gone.
I don't believe that he would want this accident to ground all the aging War Birds.
How about we look forward to allowing a great sport, and unique experience continue, and every one drive safely; in the air and on the free-way.

Couldn't agree more... All that Green house stuff is C**P anyway. They can't prove it and so they call it Climate change. They even want to charge farmers for allowing their cows for Passing Gas. It's all a way to control and make new taxes. We are fighting hard in the States to stop that stuff over here. Europe needs to stop regulating themselves out of business; and make smart decisions on how to keep the economy running and the environment safe. I like trees, I just don't hug them.

You seem to have all the answers Mr Wilkson, Wow to bad you weren't around at the end of WW 2 to advise the Brits on what to do. You weren't there; and even if it does turn out to be a big fat treasure hole story it's not your money they're spending. I really hope you are wrong. It would be a real Cinderella story to watch unfold.
I always love the way guys like you who seem to delight in messing things up for the rest of us.
You probably want them to spend the money on the poor and education programs for inner city youths. I'm sick of it. Let Mr Cundall have his day.
