Dear friends! I´m about to decide to buy a PIPER CHEYANNE I year 1982 in great shape!, my problem is that I heard is difficult to find supplies: Do you feel theres future for this kind of planes?

I know they are a great pleanes with very good performance, but also heard that is very difficult to buy parts and supplies, and that there´s seems to be that there´s no company interest in making this magnificent airplanes...Or is there a chance that PIPER would produce them again?

Parts continue to be available for the Cheyenne family of turboprops. Many items such as the engines, propellers, brakes, tires and so on that need more or less continuous maintenance are made by companies other than Piper so you can expect them to be available.

Replacement parts specific to the Cheyenne airframe and its systems may be harder to find, or take longer, but I know of no reported shortages.

It is doubtful that Piper would resume manufacturing the Cheyenne in the future, but the fleet of existing airplanes is large enough that aftermarket parts makers will no doubt step in if true spare parts shortages develop.
