That was incredible. It really does hit home at the end when you start to realize that, despite all we do to try to prevent it, we all eventually forget what got us in the air in the first place.
On a second note, this is great for GA altogether. Hook em while they're young!
Not a multi million dollar jet. Not a glass cockpit. Just a simple little airplane is all it takes.
Loved it!

Awesome, heart-warming and inspiring. Lainey's enthusiasm and joy are infectious. What a perfect first flight - in a Champ, from a grass runway. (A Cub would have been just as good. I've flown and still love both.) I hope she solos in the same plane 10 years from now.
Crying my pants off here, i just did the same thing with my 5 year old daughter 3 weeks ago on an ultralight.
Wow...
The song is great, too. Does anyone know the name of the song?
The song is "Linger" by the Cranberries.
Words just can't do that video justice. Thanks for posting it....
What a remarkable video showing how a parents love and passion of a wonderful sport passes to his child. I received notice in my Flying e-news and had to watch this video, more then once.
Mr. Woodson - thank you. You sir are one in a million. The joy in your face tells the whole story.
Congratulations Lainey!
Thank you both for making my day a happy and pleasant one.
Priceless video which brought back wonderful memories and tears. So thankful for a dad who spent time taking his daughter flying in an Aeronica Champ and I'm sure your daughter will be too. Missing him and those days alot. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for posting this. I had to tell my wife I had something in my eye.
I felt compelled to write a comment (while wiping a couple of tears out...!)
Reminded me when I first took my son (3 year old the time) on his first flight.
Thanks a lot!
