Three Weeks To Go Before Inaugural Flying Aviation Expo

Palm Springs show expected to draw nearly 10,000.

If you haven’t heard the news yet, Flying is set to host its first fly-in and trade show in the magazine’s 87-year history. The Flying Aviation Expo is shaping up to be a can’t-miss event for pilots in Southern California and beyond, transforming the Palm Springs Convention Center into a general aviation mecca for three fun-filled days from October 31 to November 2.

The party actually kicks off the day before the show’s official start, on Thursday, October 30, with the Parade of Planes from Palm Springs International Airport through the city’s streets to the show venue. Flying Aviation Expo will feature more than 50 educational seminars and workshops and nearly 200 exhibitors, outdoor displays and special events.

In addition to all the great airplanes and aviation products on display, the Expo will also include the chance to drive exotic cars like the Ferrari F430 through partner Dream Racing, poolside wine tasting at the Hilton Hotel starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, and an opening night Halloween party at the Palm Springs Air Museum (costumes optional).
