FBO Spotlight: Henriksen Jet Center (KEDC)

Flying reader Paul S. Barnett shares his thoughts on why this FBO at Austin Executive Airport is top-notch.

Henriksen Jet Center (KEDC)
Pflugerville (Austin), Texas

In our FBO Spotlight series, we’re highlighting FBOs around the country that have received rave reviews from our readers. The latest Spotlight is brought to you by Cessna 172 pilot Paul S. Barnett, who was recently impressed with the costumer service provided at Henriksen Jet Center (KEDC), in Austin, Texas.

I have flown into KEDC twice last month and both times was treated to the “big jet experience” in my 172. The entire experience was wonderful.

After being marshaled to the covered ramp by the front door and the red carpet thrown out for me and my passenger, we found complimentary water and soft drinks, a well-equipped flight planning room and pilot lounge all in a beautiful building. There is also a very interesting display of a Concorde engine in the lobby. The line guys made sure we had everything we needed and quickly had us fueled up while I visited with our Austin family members.

This was a first-rate experience all around. The best part was being able to park under a shaded area in the 98 degree heat.
