EAA AirVenture 2014

Check out our full coverage of the biggest GA show of the year with news, photos, video and more.

Couldn’t make it to AirVenture this year? No problem. Flying was on site, bringing all the breaking show news, photos and video to you.

Among the highlights, AirVenture 2014 featured the first-ever appearance by the Air Force Thunderbirds, along with the ever-popular night airshows and moving tributes to EAA founder Paul Poberezny, who passed away last year. This year’s show had hundreds more volunteers than last year to go along with improvements among food vendors and the general layout of the show.

Some of the exciting news to come out of Oshkosh included the introduction of a new light sport amphibian, the MVP, a flight demonstration of the first production-conforming HondaJet, and the impressive debut of a production-ready Icon A5. Cessna also announced its intent to develop a diesel-powered Skylane 182. Additionally, Flying had a strong presence at the show as one of the many sponsors for the Flying Challenge Cup and the IFR Proficency Center, which will be making another appearance at the upcoming Flying Aviation Expo.
