Aviation-Themed Steakhouse Opens Near Chicago

PM Prime a pilot's paradise.

Let’s face it, you’ve done the hundred-dollar hamburger thing more times than you can count. If you’re in the Chicago area it’s time to check out PM Prime, a new steakhouse that pilots will love for the food and the incredible aviation-themed decor.

Rarely could you find this many historic aviation photographs under one roof. More than 200 images literally cover every wall of PM Prime, which had its grand opening on July 11 in Highwood, Illinois, a quick cab ride from Chicago Executive Airport.

There are even themed rooms within the steakhouse, such as the Amelia Earhart Room, which pays tribute to the famed aviatrix.

PM Prime owner Steve Platcow is the CEO of RPM Advertising and a commercial-rated multi-engine pilot who flies a Cessna 414A twin. He says he uses his flying to help serve a diverse group of regionally located clients.

When Platcow decided to open PM Prime, he wanted to share his love of aviation with customers who would also appreciate the history of aviation motif.

PM Prime is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5-10 p.m. and is located at 310 Green Bay Road in Highwood, Illinois.
