Redbird Hosting SkyWest Pilot Evaluations at AirVenture

Airline jobs are up for grabs at AirVenture.

Should you pack a tie for Oshkosh? Redbird Flight Simulations has announced it will host pilot interviews for SkyWest Airlines, as well as conduct evaluations of candidates’ IFR skills in a King Air 350i simulator. The process will all take place at the Redbird tent (No. 208) on the EAA AirVenture grounds.

Redbird and SkyWest say these are real interviews, and conditional job offers will result for appropriate candidates, adding, “Applicants from all facets of aviation are encouraged to apply in person at the Redbird AirVenture.”

Actually, appropriate attire for the verbal portion of the evaluation is listed as “casual air show” (so leave the tie at home after all). And Redbird also stipulates that King Air experience is not necessary, nor is it expected. Good IFR skills are, however, and the company also points out there will be “…an audience, but that’s true for every airline pilot flying the line.”

Pilot candidates must also meet the published requirement of 1,500 hours’ flight time and other SkyWest criteria, including having passed the ATP written, being 23 years of age and more. For more information on employment with SkyWest, go to skywest.com/skywest-airline-jobs.
