What a beautiful airplane and a model that contributed so much to the war effort. I have a lot of time in a three radial engine (R-985's) airplane - guess that model - so would love to fly one of these B-17's with a hand full of four throttles. Barry from Iowa
Grew up near WPAFB in the 1960's. Visited the Air Force Museum often while still living there until 1990's. The Dayton Air Show too was a place to learn. This magazine and the photos bring back many great memories. I try to get to any airshow whenever I can.

I grew up watching 12Oclock High an loving the B-17 Flying Fortress . This show an Sky King
got me hooked on flying an I will never get over it.I would love to get a chance to fly the B-17 an also a P-51 Mustang.I've been wishing for these two things all my life.Life wouldn't be worth living if you didn't have any dreams left.
