Home / Photos / Watching Thunderstorms from a CJ Photos Watching Thunderstorms from a CJ By July 18, 2012 Some stormy weather makes for spectacular views.Normally the front spans the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico, but that day the tail end was inland by a few miles, making for some breathtaking displays at twilight. Level 4 storm raged 30 miles north, but the ride was smooth and the views amazing as we transited the system to the south. Sunset came soon enough, and the circulating system rewarded us with a rarity, tailwinds on both legs of a west-to-east flight on the same day.
