Genuinely impressed, but IMHO the price is probably more than double what the market will bear, even though it includes a lot of ongoing costs and support. A similarly specced Jabiru is well under $100k - replace fibre glass with carbon and factor in extra R&D for the innovative aspects and I can't get much past $150K, assuming strong sales.
What a GREAT looking design!! But, like everyone else the cost is the biggest factor. If ever I saw an airplane begging to be built in China I think I'm looking at it. Who says globalization is a bad thing? mb/jd
Neat versatile aircraft but getting past not only the price a very niche market. How many sales to break even then into the profit zone? Can't help thinking of the A5 project less then half the price but the same Niche market. Better value from a four place retractable general aviation aircraft that has already gone through its devaluation with mainstream serviceable parts. I wish the best for a manufacturers and for the ongoing support to retain employment but are there too many toys and not enough players?
