As traditional meals on commercial flights go by the wayside, one Atlanta aviation catering company is giving travelers one more reason to fly privately: Handcrafted meals created for the increasingly health-conscious flyer.

In an attempt to enhance the bizjet experience, Tastefully Yours has added a full-time nutritionist, Heather Hibbin, to its staff who will be responsible for hand-crafting in-flight meals that take into account the influences of altitude and the cabin environment.

A private pilot herself, Hibbin is familiar with the effects flight places on the body, and plans on using her knowledge to create meals that both increase crew and passenger comfort and reduce the risk of fatigue and sickness.

Tastefully Yours says Kraft’s hiring is part of the company’s effort to raise the bar when it comes to aviation food, an effort that is likely to be well received amongst travelers tired of eating in-flight sandwiches with the consistency of hockey pucks.
