The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have joined forces again to promote the message that business aviation is a productive business tool rather than just another lavish parcel of an overpaid executive's compensation package. First coined in 1993, the 'No Plane No Gain' message has some 21st century elements this time around. They include a dedicated website (noplanenogain.org) featuring studies and surveys using current, quantifiable data; internet-based "webinars" aimed at educating business aviation critics; and videos and podcasts that will also be placed on YouTube. GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce said, "We are launching this new multi-media educational campaign to get the word out that business aviation is working for America. It [serves] as a lifeline for communities all across the country that are seeing scheduled airline service being reduced or eliminated." NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen added, "No Plane No Gain will underscore why business aviation is critical to tens of thousands of cost-conscious companies fighting to succeed in a difficult market."
