Lightspeed Aviation announced a new, next-generation version of its Zulu headset with several patent pending innovations. Lightspeed claims the Zulu's new Microport Vent technology provides greater ANR consistency and an improvement in ANR by two to 12 decibels in the low frequency range, Lightcomfort design reduces the clamping force by 15 percent, and Dual Aperture Disc microphone improves voice clarity over the airwaves. These new improvements update the original Zulu, which was introduced three and a half years ago. Lightspeed also offers the lower end Sierra ANR and in-the-ear Mach 1 headsets. The new Zulu is available for $900 and Lightspeed expects to start deliveries in May. As of yet, no trade-in program is available for current Zulu owners.
