GippsAero has selected West Coast Aviation Services in Santa Ana, California, as its authorized dealer for the Western U.S. as the company seeks to increase sales of the Australian-made GA8 Airvan utility single.
West Coast Aviation will handle GA8 sales in Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Nevada, the companies said.
"The appointment of West Coast Aviation Services as an authorized dealer is an exciting step forward in continuing to expand our U.S. sales network," said Arvind Mehra, executive director and chief executive of Mahindra Aerospace, the parent of GippsAero.
GippsAero has two other U.S. dealers, Muncie Aviation in the Midwest and Flightline Group in the South.
Powered by a single Lycoming IO-540-K1A5-6, the eight-seat GA8 aircraft is capable of short takeoffs and landings on unimproved strips.
