Flying Aviation Expo Ramps Up, Signs on Two Premiere Sponsors

Scheyden and Aircraft Spruce to join sponsor roster.

The Flying Aviation Expo, which will take place at the Palm Springs Convention Center from October 15-17, continues to ramp up for an impressive follow-on to last year’s successful debut.

All of the most popular events and activities from last’s years Expo will be back, only bigger and better. In addition to cool aircraft on display and the best of new products from leading aviation innovators, this year’s show will focus on new technologies, from ADS-B to the Apple Watch, that will give pilots (and aviation enthusiasts) insights and hands-on experience with the hottest next-gen flying gear. Look for industry leaders in panel discussions on today’s biggest issues, along with seminars on iPad apps, affordable ADS-B solutions, weather analysis, and more. For those who get there early, look for our big Parade of Planes, which this year will feature more planes and, without a doubt, more spectators along the route from Palm Springs airport through the city streets to the Flying Avaition Expo.

There are a couple of new big name premiere sponsors of the show this year too. Scheyden Precision Eyewear and Aircraft Spruce, well known names in the aviation industry, are getting behind the Flying Aviation Expo in a big way. Scheyden Precision Eyewear, a leader in the aviation world for eyewear, will be the presenting sponsor of the Flying Aviation Expo for the next three years. Aircraft Spruce, a leading resource for aircraft parts, pilot supplies and homebuilt pans and materials, continues its enthusiastic support too.

Jeff Herold, president of Scheyden, said, “We are thrilled to be partaking in an event that has such historical relevance in Palm Springs, and the show is anticipated to be a huge success.” Herold continued to say that “This will be one of the premier events in the aviation world and Scheyden, as the leader in aviation eyewear, is the perfect partner. I love the way the city of Palm Springs embraces aviation, letting us taxi aircraft down the city streets to the convention hall.”

Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. president Jim Irwin voiced similar support for the show. “Aircraft Spruce is honored to be a premiere sponsor of Flying Aviation Expo and to have the opportunity to work with Lift Event Management and Flying magazine to make Aviation Expo a successful aviation convention for years to come,” said Irwin. “The enthusiasm of the general aviation community, paired with a popular venue like Palm Springs will make the Aviation Expo an exciting show for thousands of participants.”
