Avidyne Promotes Its Own Stimulus Package

By Mark Phelps

Avidyne is offering "instant rebates" on several of its retrofit avionics components. Not surprisingly, the more you buy, the more you can save. For example, buying one of the eligible components will bring you a $500 rebate; two units, $1,500; three units, $3,000 and a maximum of $5,000 for buying four units. The components involved in the rebate program include the EXP5000, EX5000 and EX500 cockpit displays; Avidyne's TWX (tactical weather transceivers); TAS (traffic advisory systems); MLB (broadcast datalink receivers); MLX (two-way datalink transceivers); MHD (multi-hazard displays) and the Release 9 version of the Entegra avionics suite. To qualify for the rebates, customers must register online at avidyne.com before posting a dealer order. The rebates are instantaneous, meaning the pricing adjustment occurs at purchase - there is no waiting for a check in the mail. The rebates cannot be combined with any other pricing offers and are deducted from the retail prices of the units. The program started this month and applies to Avidyne equipment delivered before the end of this calendar year.
