American Legend Aircraft Launches Incentive Program

It may be more gimmick than substance, but American Legend Aircraft Company is offering to match the government's "cash for clunkers" program. The company will take any old aircraft in trade toward one of its Legend Cubs, and reduce the price by $4,500 - the same amount car dealers gave for gas-guzzlers in the recently closed incentive program designed to stimulate new-car sales. American Legend will accept even unairworthy aircraft for its rebate program (it is expected that most will be donated to museums or schools). Though American Legend's "cash for junkers" program might be more of a discount plan than a legitimate trade-in program, it could be a productive way to clear out some dusty hangar clutter.
