Bendix/King Announces Three New AV8OR Products

7/29/2008

Bendix/King announced a trio of portable GPS and synthetic vision products at EAA AirVenture. Classed under the overall brand of AV8OR, the line starts with a portable GPS receiver with both aviation and automotive applications. Priced at $749, the 4.3-inch touch-screen navigator also has an optional real-time weather receiver available. For now, a $250 discount is offered to AV8OR buyers. Weather comes from WxWorx (XM Satellite) and a built-in entertainment system is also part of the package. The AV8OR Horizon 3D and Vision 3D products (formerly VistaNav CIS-1000 and CIS-2000, respectively) offer synthetic vision and terrain warning. With an optional Zaon receiver, they can provide traffic avoidance display. The Horizon 3D system is priced at $4,995 and the Vision 3D system, capable of operating as a Class II electronic flight bag, at $6,999 (up to 14,500 feet)—or $7,999 for a system that will be capable of operating as high as 40,000 feet.
