Bader Yousif Murad's house growing up was right next to the Daharan International Airport, and, at age 10, he was given a toy model airplane that initiated his love of model airplanes. Handcrafted models, including a replica of your own aircraft, measure approximately 28-32 cm long. To custom order, just send in your aircraft type, modifications and the color paint scheme. This information is supplemented by research done in Bader's aeronautical reference library, then a detailed cardboard model is re-created and superimposed onto mahogany as an outline for later chiseling incisions. Fuselage and wings are cut out, and miniscule engines, antennas and lights are created. Finally, a 25-coat primer and three coats of airbrushed white-gloss paint that gives it a totally grainless, immaculate surface-Bader's international signature-are applied.
