Avionics Innovations (AI) is offering a new inflight entertainment system that features an AM/FM stereo receiver, a DVD player and an eight-disc CD changer. The system's split mode feature lets passengers either listen to music or watch a DVD movie. The company is also selling a line of flat-panel displays, from six to 15 inches, on which to show the movies. Display prices range from $2,995 for the six-inch model to $6,995 for the 15-inch version. To complete the package, AI is offering a line of switching boxes for airplanes with from four to eight seats for added system capability and flexibility.
