Diamond Goes With Aspen PFD in DA20

Faced with limited panel space, Diamond found a great solution to putting a PFD in its trainer: the Aspen EFD1000.

Seeking to find a way to put glass in its budget-priced and diminutive DA20 trainer, Diamond has found a solution, the Aspen EFD1000 primary flight display. Other Diamond aircraft are outfitted with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite, but that solution didn't make sense for the DA20. The Aspen PFD, on the other hand, fits nicely into the panel and gives pilots going through primary training a chance to get used to seeing glass. It gives flight schools and academies, who love the DA20 in part for its low operating costs, a way to upgrade their fleets to glass without breaking the bank. The cost of the Aspen option in the DA20 is $7,995. For more information, visit diamondaircraft.com.
