I'm a Flight Engineer with over 3000hrs experience, and getting ready to start my private pilot license. Basically I want the professional opinion if I should invest in a DVD course, or just get a study guide. After viewing a introduction DVD, I did learn a bit, but most was very basic to me. I have 2 CFII that I work with that are going to be my instructors, and think a formal ground school would probably be a waste of time and money. I tend to agree with that but would like to get more out of my experience then just passing the test. So any opinions would be appreciated.
