I am sorry to hear about your having to put your flying on hold. Yes, many of us, including myself, have been there. I took my primary flight training early, when I was still living under the same roof as my parents, and with their car to drive. Even with all that, I had several periods where things got temporarily stuck in low gear due to finances. Just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt



For the young crowd I know there are a number of scholarship and grant programs designed to help out in this area. Maybe some companies out there could get together on this (Cirrus, New Piper, Cessna, Garmin, etc.) and form a fund that would garner them publicity, good will, and probably be very cost-effective "free" advertising since it would, no doubt, get the attention of many in the aviation community and make a big news splash!
